Greetings from Central Nepal

Before the honey hunters climb, there's a ceremony. The Gurung people gather at the base of the cliff to ask the bee gods for permission. They offer rice, flowers, and sometimes a chicken, seeking protection for the climbers who'll dangle on rope ladders above the valley. No one touches the hives without this blessing first. Wish you were here.

Greetings from Luang Prabang

Woke before sunrise to see the monks walk barefoot through town. People offer rice in complete silence, no cameras, no ceremony. Just a quiet exchange before the world wakes up. Felt sacred to witness.

Sichuan Opera, China

Saw Sichuan opera after dark, the masks change so fast you can't catch how. It's a family secret, passed down for generations. One face becomes another in a heartbeat. Made me think how quickly we all shift. Thinking of you.

Karakorum, Mongolia

Karakorum was once the heart of the Mongol Empire, where envoys from Europe, Persia, and China crossed paths. Trade routes met here, ideas traveled fast, and power was portable. When the capital moved, the city faded, but the land still remembers.
